The Thermoelectric Research Laboratory at Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics is seeking highly motivated candidates interested in pursuing a PhD degree within the framework of the Doctoral School of AGH. We are pleased to announce that our PhD student, Adrianna Lis, has been awarded the Mieczysław Bekker Programme scholarship by NAWA – Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. Thanks to this prestigious scholarship, Adrianna Lis will conduct her research at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Tsukuba, Japan, where she will further develop her research and strengthen international scientific collaboration. She also had the opportunity to attend the official award ceremony held on March 12 at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

Our team from AGH University of Krakow has just returned from an intensive joint thermoelectric workshop with Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden, initiated and coordinated by Kornelius Nielsch. The workshop provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange, allowing us to present our work on thermoelectric materials and devices while learning about the latest results from our partners. We also had the opportunity to visit state-of-the-art laboratories for functional materials, showcasing outstanding infrastructure and professionalism. This meeting further strengthened our collaboration and opened the door for future joint initiatives.
